The Duplex Escalator 350 or 550 combine sweeping and scrubbing to attain new standards of escalator cleaning, fast and effectively. Its unique patented guide rail system ensures accurate tracking on the escalator. The machine is positioned at the botton of the escalator and the specially designed brushes rotate into the moving treads.

Excessively aggresive cleaning of the aluminium steps by some machines can cause scratches which may wear the anodised finish and after time cause an unsightly appearance.

The brushes designed after consulation with the major escalator manufacturers, penetrate into the low profile areas of the surface, cleaning where dirt accumulates without damaging the surface.

To remove dust accumulated in the escalator tread it is swept with the machine in dry mode using any vacuum which attaches to an integral connector.

Using minimal water the cylindrical brushes then scrub to bring the finish back to the steps within two or three passes.

This means, depending on the width of the escalator, it takes just 45 minutes to completely sweep and scrub most escalators.
